Who can participate in the "I Can" challenge?

  • The challenge is open to everyone, members and non-members alike.

Do I have to become a member if I join the challenge?
  • No. Everyone is free to pursue the goal they set for the eight-week challenge as they see fit. The advantage for members is that they will have our guidance, personal training, and persistance to keep them motivated and on track. Those that don't need our assistance can proceed with their own workout program, but still enjoy the CrossFit community at the hosted workouts weeks: one, four, and eight. There will also be two FREE Saturday WOD's at CrossFit Hollister. Check our website for the dates.
If I am not sure that I want to become a member, but I do want to participate in the challenge, am I completely on my own?

  • No. The CrossFit Hollister vision is to "Empower people to take control of their lives!" It is our desire to remain in contact with all challengers. One of the options that challengers will be given, at the start, is to receive a weekly phone call from one of our trainers. The phone call will be a check up on each person's progress, it will also serve as a phone consultation for challengers who are struggling. We are also just a phone call away, at any time, for those that want some guidance or need some assistance.
What does the registration fee, ($50), get me?
  • Three hosted workouts at CrossFit Hollister
  • Photographs at each stage of the challenge
  • 15-sec video journal at each stage of the challenge
  • Recored weight and measurements at each stage
  • One CrossFit Hollister "I CAN" wristband
Do I have to weigh-in and measure in front of everyone?
  • NO! The weigh-in, measurements, photos, and journal will all be recorded in the privacy of our office. Two staff members will be on hand to take all pertinant records for each challenger. Challengers will not be required to wear any special clothing for the weigh-in, nor will they be required to remove any clothing for the weigh-in. The photos and journal are used to provide an overall appearance of the challenger at each stage, for that reason nothing special is required.
